Looking to top up my QF SC's balance to reach SG later this year, and since we need to fly / spend $$ intra-EU anyway on our trip, I have been looking for flights on OW-members. I will have a shortfall of about 70 SCs to get to SG. Not many choices really, BA, IB, AY and AB. :-|

We will need to go BCN>JMK, and I found IB J sale fare BCN>MAD>FCO>JMK at about $750 per pax. A routing with BA through LHR>LCY (what a pain!) cost about $500 per pax in Y, earning only 30 SC. There are cheaper fares on LCC, yes, but I figured there is little value buying a cheap $200-$250 ticket on a LCC which earns me no SC's on QF and then spending more money back in Oz on a status run to earn some extra SC's...

So the IB website offers the total itinerary as:
BCN>MAD IB2731
MAD>FCO IB3236
FCO>JMK IB5038 (operated by Vueling)

I have read through the OW rules for SC's on QF website: https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/flying/airline-earning#partner-airline-earning-table, and this is how I understand it:
1) BCN>MAD and MAD>FCO are different flight numbers, i.e. different flight segments. So the earning will be 40 SCs and 60 SCs respectively (according to both QF calculator and their earning table).
2) FCO>JMK segment is operated as a codeshare by non-OW member or an affiliate, thus zero SCs for this segment? Or zero SC's for the entire flight?

Am I right and it will still earn the business rate of SC's for the first two segments and zero for the last? Or am I wrong, and the entire itinerary will not earn any SC's because one of the segments is codeshare with a non-OW member? I will still call QF to confirm, but someone may have already had a similar experience?

It's the flight itself that counts, not how it is ticketed. So eligible flights will earn, even if in conjunction with non-earning flights.
