Only the ultra small or old stores do not.

Even better if you have an ABN is to get a Bunnings PowerPass which gives you discounts of up to 10% (rare) on most building products. Set it up as cash only and use Bunnings' gcs purchased with WoW or Coles' discount gcs = Win Win Win Win.

As Bunnings have fixed value gcs not adjustable value - they cash out the change below $10 (sometimes more). I know of some people who when they are not in a hurry buy each item at Bunnings separately and harvest the cash (as a matter of principle due to their love of Westfarmers).

So they're effectively get cash as 95 cents in the dollar.

Spent $250 tonight to trigger my WWR$30 for $200 spend. Had WRR$8.59 on the card when I walked into the shop. Got WWR$1 from a purchase, then the WWR$30 from the targeted offer, then the catalogue had a spend $100 get wwr$10 so scanned that - upto WWR$41. Then $10 came off the shop and I had WWR45.89 on my card. $51 return on $250 spend - 20%!! You can keep your QFF points




Umm, self service is perfect if doing things like buying gift cards with gift card, surely.

Just checked the account activity, as the numbers didn't exactly add up with approx. WWR$4 discrepancy. Seems there was a WWR$6.10 credit on 16 December (listed as "All Stores") from a $42 shop (14%). That combined with the WWR$8.59 balance roughly makes the numbers right.

the general All Stores WWR$6.10+8.59 gave me the unexpected WWR$10 credit on the $250 shop. that shop earned WWR$41. Down to about 17% return.

Funnily enough today's $31 shop had the WW$5 credited instantly. It brought the balance to just over WW$10 and it came up on the self checkout screen - "you have now got $10 off your next purchase" or something similar.
Last week's $30 purchase took a few days to credit.

Thinking about the QFF points conversion of $10 Woolworths dollars = 870 QFF points it appears to be more generous than before.

With the current promotions one can earn $10 Woolworths dollars for $30 spend without including any Woolworths dollars accumulated on orange sticker items. That's an easy 870 QFF points. Previously you may have received an offer of 500 bonus points fof $100 spend or 750 bonus points for $180 spend or 1000 bonus points for $270 spend.

It would be very tempting for me but hard to convince mum to forgo $10 discount for 870 QFF points.

What with half price deals on a number of long life products as well as a good number of travel Tens before they scotched those - total spend north of $1,000.

That's a good point and I'm trying to remember the initial advertising for woolies rewards. I thought it said something like the average person would get WWR$10 by spending $108 for 7 weeks.Lets call that $750 for 870 points. That's better than 560 points (7*(108-30)). But on the flip side earning WWR$ doesn't seem to match that advertising.

Correct, but is it, even when I say to the Woollies check out staff I'm getting ready to throw my card out they agree that other customers are saying the same thing.

Woollies changed the only thing many people wanted.

It's confusing to the people who are meant to be running it. I'm seeing comms come through at least once or twice a week about some sort of issue with the orange tickets.

Had a $138.00 spend today and used the $20.00 off voucher, which was useful and appreciated, all the other items were competitive against Coles.
