I am seriously considering purchasing miles under this promotion specifically for 2 pax LHR to SYD in April 2017.

At the moment I have looked up availability on the route (for November & December 2016 as Mah 2017 is not available to view yet) which comes down to a choice between ANA & ASIANA.

The cost of buying the required miles is at the moment US$2343 and the taxes (when I book) will be US$678.

We are fairly flexible with our travel dates so it really comes down to whether we have the courage to take the plunge (offer expires 18/12/16 U.S. time) now and what the quality of business class on ANA or ASIANA is, as opposed to Qantas.

Any comments are very welcome.

Must you leave from LHR? If so, you can avoid UK APD

Wasn't there a deal around yesterday where you could get 150%, every cent counts IMHO.
