Using Lavatories in Flight not in your Cabin Class?

A couple of years ago, my DH was walking around and near the SIA galley/J toilets and the FAs started knocking a trolley against the toilet wall. When he looked at them to figure out why, a FA said that sometimes Y paxs hide in the toilet so they were "flushing him out" so to speak.

I guess they thought knocking/interrupting would have been rude if it was a J pax, this way they can apologise and say the trolley wasn't secure???

At least with BA no one in the right mind in upper deck J would head down the stairs to the F toilets.

When someone from a lower class of seats, makes for the upper class loos, has anyone been tempted to get up, make for the loos and say, "excuse me I'm in this class" ? :p

Re: WP treatment in Y

FYI

A professor who was caught self-upgrading into Y+ refused to budge - even when police was involved !

The 1st class toilets are for 1st...etc. I know it doesn't always work out that way.

Self upgrading...is an amazing exercise. As the crew have lists of who is in each seat, it shouldn't work for very long. I once had a bloke plonk himself down in an empty seat next to me when I was paxing domestically. Didn't get to stay long.

Re: WP treatment in Y

I'm going to out myself as an international J pax that has used a loo in F on QF1.

My excuse was that the FAs directed me to, as the J loos appeared to be out of action. I hesitated about doing it but the FA said: "No, don't worry, it's fine, I'm giving you permission".

In fairness, I didn't see any F passengers (although I supposes they might have heard the flush).

Re: WP treatment in Y

I mostly fly long haul F on QF, SQ, LH, EK and JL. My other half and I were talking about this topic the other day, and agreed the only airline where pax from other cabins sneak into the F loos is on QF. Almost every flight, without fail. They wouldn't dare on most other airlines.

When in AA first I've been known to cut in front of a person from Y trying to go to the F toilet. Basically you cannot wait near the toilet door so when someone is coming out then you jump up and head towards the toilet.

So I have to remain seated until the door opens and if someone from Y wants to go they have to return to their seat and wait until I've finished.

One could have fun with that.

It's almost a right or unwritten benefit .... Maybe the new QF Rose Gold card ( combining platinum and Gold cards benefits, and then replacing them) will give you this privilege of doing a moon landing (pooping) at the pointy end. :p.

Those booked in Y could swipe their Card for access. (QF RoseGold and WP1)

Ok I will stop now ....... Cork please

I think we all fear getting the runs while on a flight.
Desperate times give rise to desperate measures so flyers will try anything to get to a no queue toilet somewhere on a plane.

Re: WP treatment in Y

I quite agree cove and I would certainly step aside for anyone saying or displaying urgency.

Double deck back to back meaning I presume two toilets? Two at the top two at the bottom( lower floor)
