I have one AA system-wide upgrade (SWU) to giveaway.

Nice and simple this time. You may put your hand up if you've been an AFF member since at least May and have at least 30 posts. Simply post here.

  1. The flight you're looking to upgrade must be both marketed and operated by AA.
  2. Checking availability of an upgrade is difficult if you're not an AA EXP. Therefore, throw your hat in the ring and in the first instance I will check whether there is availability on your flight(s). If it's there, it's yours; if not, we'll go on to the next member.
  3. Each SWU is valid for (I think) up to three flight segments on the same ticket. So, for example, if you're flying LAX-DFW-JFK-LHR, a single SWU will cover all flights.
  4. You must be travelling on a paid ticket (not an award).
  5. You'll get the most bang for your buck on AA's new A321 trans-con aircraft travelling between JFK and LAX and SFO, as well as the upgraded 777s but it's entirely up to you as to which flight(s) you hope to use the certificate on.

No takers as yet.

I should have noted that travel does not need to be in the remaining days of 2015; if you're booked for 2016, it's usable.

I have a short (~800 miile) domestic segment in January on an RJ - pretty poor use though. If no takers in a week or two I'll put my hand up (but only rather than have it go to waste).

Sounds good. Happy to send it your way if no other takers.

I've got DEN-CLT-LGA in three days, I think the SWU will upgrade both flights since they're on the same itinerary? They're no A32Bs but I have a feeling they're on ex-US Airbus... -shudder-

Loadings are F4 A4 P3 Y7 B7 H7 K7 M7 L6 W0 V0 G0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 as of 4/12/15.

Have you checked EF to see if upgrade seats are available?

So my understanding is the CLT-LGA is the limiting leg with 4 award seats available. It also seems upgrades are processed into A which means a loadings look up for A will show SWU availability.

Thanks for your generosity. I'm on AA102 on December 8. I will check EF.

To use system-wide upgrades in First you need availability in A. There is availability on both flights. If you'd like the SWU - it's yours. Please PM me the name on your reservation and your PNR and I'll contact AA tonight to assign.

Oooffft don't know who I want to win HNL-DFW on a 763 or me on a 1am departure out of DEN to CLT and onwards to LGA and no sleep on an ex-US bird hahah.

Thanks for the SWU Danger, much appreciate it. Points will credit at original booked fare like a normal upgrade right?

It's A0...next time maybe

Well that solved my problem, a comfy seat and a couple of hours of sleep here and there would be handy for me hehehe.

Correct. Original fare class.

After you PM me I'll be in touch later tonight to confirm all is in place.
