QF points for Iberia ticket on plane operated by Vueling?

Hi,
We are flying from Milan to Barcelona and the best direct flight is a Veuling flight for around 50 Euros. The other option is to buy the ticket from the Iberia website for the same flight (operated by Veuling metal) which costs 90 Euro.

I have tried to work out if that would attract status credits, and I'm not sure.
Here are the rules from the Qantas fine print.

If it does attract SC's, I think it would be 10 for economy but the Qantas calculator doesn't have BCN as an option

it is 450 miles and

I am fairly sure that flights operated by Veuling do not earn status credits or points, or attract any OW privileges.
Two Iberia subsidiaries - Air Nostrum and Iberia Express are OW affilliates but Veuling is not.
Having said that I have always avoided them for that reason - so I can't give you an absolutely definitive answer based on personal experience.
You could always give Iberia a call - I've always found them very helpful.

Actually, if you book via the IB code you are entitled to pick any seat, including first row, luggage allowance and if you have OW status you can use the relevant lounge.

You will not, however, receive points of SCs as it is not Ib metal.

That's certainly what the rules say. That's why I am curious about the details of Jock28's experience.
Lounge access with veuling would open up a few more travel options. OW doesn't have great coverage in Europe.

My experience was flying VY BCN-JMK airport. Was on an AONEX and booked these sectors separately. Booked via the IB website which was more expensive. Used the lounge IB at BCN, picked front row seats and luggage was included in the price (hence the price difference).

The flights showed up in my QFF profile. Can't remember if the PNR on VY was different but if you log on via the VY website you will see you have access to all seats.

Have flown Vueling between MAD-GRX and BCN-GRX multiple times, on IB flight number sold through IB, QF and BA. On each occasion no points awarded and lounge access was available as OWS or OWE.

Are you able to book Air Nostrum flights with QF points? And if so - does this have to be done over the phone?

They don't appear to show up on the QF booking engine - but do on the BA one

I can confirm from personal experience that you CAN book Air Nostrum flights with QF points.
Sorry, but I can't help you with online booking methods as mine were booked by phone.

I flew Gatwick to Barcelona 2 years ago, I had an IB flight number but it was on Vueling, no access to BA lounge in Gatwick even though I was WP, and the staff were not very nice about it either.

No SC's, nor points. Won't fly vueling again. Return trip was with IB on one of their planes, no problems with lounge access in Barcelona. Both flights were under the same pnr bought as a 'return'.
