This is my day to day watch.

However every now and then I use this one

It's not especially valuable ( the chain is worth much more) but it's incredibly sentimental.

I agree this is a watch to be proud of but shouldn't it be on your wrist? Putting it back in the box every night seems like a lot of effort for a day to day time piece

Actually , it goes on a wonder at night.

Alas , I'm not sure of the make.
What I can say is that it's not a dear one. It was ( I believe) purchased in the US. It came to me with the Longines , I bought the watch second hand ( but unused) from the widow of s dear friend. ( there is a lot more to this story, but not for this forum) I have the 4 watch model , I also have a two watch model, which needs a repair. I saw one ( very flash looking) for sale a few months ago, and was astounded at how dear it was. What I can say is, after my last service of the Longines the watch maker strongly recommended a wonder as the watch actually benefits from being wound.

I don't travel (overseas) with it, so leaving it on the winder means it is looked after whole I'm away.

I use the Kenneth Cole as my (O/S) travel watch (nz doesn't count as overseas) it's a great watch, but quite inexpensive.

Edit. It's an ERS. Made in HK I think. The two watch model is about $140.00 USD.

I'm wondering why it needs to go on a winder overnight if it is worn every day..... (Serious question)

Edit; you answered my question above

GPH, great looking watch!
My everyday watch is a GP alternated with a Zenith. I switched the straps of the GP & Zenith to a 3rd party one as wearing it in the tropics.....too sweaty!

Here this'll make you all laugh. My watch as presented to me by my future wife on my 30th birthday. Yes it's a swatch, but I'm always gazing at it watching the mechanism whirl away.

That was my thinking too.
However the watch maker told me that the watch is self lubricating and benefits from (almost) perpetual motion. You would think it increases wear! But "apparently" the opposite is true. The watch needed a service not long after I bought it because it hadn't been on a winder. While this was disappointing ( having yo service it so soon after buying it) I did pay less than 35% of retail. ( and received the two winders free) . I'm not sure how this rule applies to other watches of mine. I have (my Grandfathers) a seiko automatic bought n Japan by my father in 1967, it is one of the early seiko automatics. It is in dire need of a service. Considering he paid about NZD$50.00 for it, it will need around $350.00 in service costs. The watch is immensely sentimental to me and I shall have it done. ..... Soon.
This idea of collecting watches is all well and good but like owning a Rolls Royce. It's the running costs that get you. :-)

This is a Kenneth Cole NY. Automatic. Movement is Chinese. You can buy on line for about USD$100.00.
The Chinese are now making some really good watches. A nice automatic timepiece needn't set you back a lot. IMHO something like this is an ideal introduction for a young boy to learn and understand about watches that have a heart. I plan on giving one similar to my grandson soon. He is nearly 9 YO now. So about the right time I reckon.

It's unfortunate Pushka, they don't appreciate the work that goes into a good mechanical watch
