We weren't on the same aircraft but I was in the same boat - they wouldn't move me to an earlier BNE-SYD flight... Sorry we missed you!
 
I am waiting for QF8408 at KLIA in the Emirates lounge. They do a very good job for we mere mortals. Someone has to represent the plebs.
