What's the go with the JQ mobile boarding passes?

I checked in and requested a mobile boarding pass and all I got was a text with some odd letters (10 letters) sent through three times. It said it was a boarding pass????? Is this true? Can I arrange a passbook boarding pass?

The SMS boarding passes are being phased out and replaced with QR codes very, very, soon. The 'random letters and numbers' are like that so they can work as a boarding pass on older non-smart mobiles.

Is a QF code that funny looking square picture matrix or does it come up as a passbook BP?

Yep, it will have a link to download and will appear in the Passbook (iphone).
