Why does the QF int F lounge have the blurred hexagon design?

From memory - it's meant to make your eyes a little 'fuzzy' so you're encouraged to look up from the floor and enjoy the open space. Or something.

Its at LAX F Lounge too, from memory, I guess some-one thought there should be a consistent theme / 'branding'. If it wasn't hexagons it would be something else.

Nice pickup. Given it's c. 2003 - he didn't stray too far from the theme 4 years later.

Is that the same pattern on the perspex divider between J & Y on obe of the 738's?

Not sure of the rego - maybe VYC? I think Medhead gets that one quite a bit between ADL & SYD.

Or perhaps, that was what they based the F lounge on.

Interesting to see the first version of it, so to speak.

True, maybe one or two exec's spent too much time in this din and decided to get creative. Either way - it's a great look.

Interesting they don't want you to look at the carpet (if that is the reason)!

The CL has the same - combined with a brown/green decor combo that is redolent of 1970s furniture discarded from a school teachers' staff room.
