Has anyone had any luck accessing the OW Lounge at LAX with a Qantas Club, flying on an AA code but on Qantas metal?

Assuming you really do mean QP (since the first part of your question is about AC), I would have said that it would be "yes" ... but this would indicate fairly strongly that it is "no" ....

But given the way these things are often written (meaning something they don't say, or saying something they don't mean), and the likelihood of a "local interpretation", I would say that your scenario is about a 50:50 proposition.

Yeah I know what you mean by interpretation. I would think that the reciprocal lounge access between QF & AA should mean that the intent is to provide access to each others lounges. But its confusing!

You could actually ring the TBIT lounge. The number must be published somewhere. Might as well get it from horse's (dragon's) mouth.

Since you will be checking in at the Qantas desk you could also call checkin. You're more likely to find a supervisor there. And I am not sure if it's a case where checkin has to give you an official invitiation to the OW lounge if AC member.
