Can anyone advise if the Qantaslink Boeing 717's have any kind of inflight entertainment? Have to do a number of flights Sydney to Hervey Bay. I know the Virgin flights have their inflight entertainment phone app but I have no idea if the QF flights have anything that might keep kids amused.

The refurbed fleet have ipads and QStreaming throughout.

Unsure if that operates on Hervey Bay, it does to Canberra.

I don't think the single class 717's have IFE, but the 2 class subfleet do have the iPad's sad IFE.

It's a two class 717 but only sold as one class. Do you have to own an IPAD to use their system?

I just had a quick look online (I'm living up this way for awhile). I could not see any B717 service, only a direct flight on Saturday using Dash 8s (2hours direct). Or fly to YBNE then connect to a SYD flight. They do have B717 flights from Gladstone to Brisbane.

IFE would be handy on the Dash8 for SYD-CBR, given that it is a longer flight, but is a bit pointless on the 717 because the flight is shorter. Shame it's available on the 717, but not the Dash! Never mind, first world problem and all that. ;)

I imagine that noise-cancelling headphones would need to be provided for all passengers, otherwise IFE on the Dash 8 would probably be superfluous! ;)
