SYD F Lounge Closed [SQ]

Hi all,
Just a heads up, the SQ F Lounge in Sydney is closed for "maintenance". Didn't know until arriving at the lounge. Apparently the granite floor is all cracked and needs to be replaced. No fixed date for reopening.
R/F passengers served Moët Chandon and a la carte food off the menu as long as they sit in the small waiting area next to the lounge attendant at the entry. Not ideal, but nothing we can do about it..

Well one does hope they complete the works by mid October.

One was so looking forward to a comfy seat with a view of the tarmac and a glass of champagne

I suppose the refurbished Koru lounge can be a decent alternative meanwhile.

Haha I still remember the whining after QF closed Dom J lounges during Xmas period for "renovations".
Can't even imagine what a huge DYKWIA explosion will happen if QF F will ever close.

I can't even see any notice on the SQ website to say the Sydney lounge is having works done.

After doing some googling it seems this is the only reference to the closure.

Way to go AFF community

Surprised flyertalk aint on the ball

5 weeks 6 days. surely that's long enough for some tile replacement.
