As JAL first class was available at Xmas I jumped on these which means I need to cancel my SQ flight for myself, wife and daughter (which was in Y, not a hard decision!) but when I went online got the above message and can't view let alone cancel my flights. The message also noted

"Our reservations office will be in touch with you soon to make arrangements for your new flights. For urgent assistance, get in touch with your local Singapore Airlines office."

As I have 3 separate PNR's (for a reason that seemed good at the time) that's a bit of a pain as that means 3 * cancel fees. I've tried a dummy booking and sure enough the booked flight SIN to NRT has been cancelled and almost certainly the cause of the message, so IF I was interested would have to go on earlier/later flight so a minimum of 5 hours change to flight time.

Questions are
1. Has anyone else had this, how long until they do actually contact you?
2. Can I use this as an excuse to cancel and NOT be charged a cancel fee?

Don't know about 1. But that's usually a good enough reason to be able to cancel.
