Acronyms on JQ Boarding Passes

Re: Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

Just checked in for a couple of 3K flights, both of which have TIG, JLSF, QFFP, V10S, WCEM. Looks like they'll be needing longer boarding passes.

I think I might have worked out TIG, which seems to be something to do with the straight-to-gate thing which 3K has.

Re: Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

My recent JQ7 flight in Y with plus pack has the following: MA01, MALM, QFFP, WCIE, WCII

There were two meal services on the flight, so that might explain the two MAxx codes.

Re: Codes on Jetstar boarding pass-what do they mean??

Both of us are WP with QF. I purchased 2 x JQ domestic flights. My BP had HVC yet SHMBO doesn't.

So I presume HVC doesn't just mean WP.

We both had the Plus bundle.
Other codes on both BPs were QFFP & V05A.
So only difference was HVC ... yet we are both WP.

Tickets were booked as a 'guest' on Jetstar.com and I added our QFF# during the booking.
No luggage selected.

If HVC does mean High Value Customer, what difference does this actually make. I've never found the service to ever be different. Same seat. Same plane. Same cough*

I think High Value Customer is too obvious an answer. If it was QF that would make sense, but this is Jetstar people so other possibilities could be:
Highly Volatile Customer
Hardly Very Comfortable
High Velocity Complainer
Happy Virgin Customer
Has Various Complaints

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

First el cheapo JQ flight for this WP in a very long while... BNE-SYD-BNE over the next two days (yes, State of Origin). Booked the cheapest fare possible, no check-in luggage and no vouchers/food.

Did OLCI and have HVC, WCID on the print-out boarding pass.

My mate who is travelling with me (and booked on the same booking) only got WCID (he is a non-status pax).

Not expecting any special treatment... especially after the seats we were allocated :shock::shock:.

Was actually considering to do a JQ trip report... but too many beers may not allow this happen....

I find that, quite often, HVC disappears if I get a new BP at the airport so it might stand for something else entirely... or my high value disappears as soon as I request for something which marginally increases their cost...

And for my next flight, I have TIG, HVC, JLSF, MA01, MALM, QFFP, WCEM... anyone else has 7 or more codes on the bp?

Anyone know what the code M003 stands for?

Also JLSF apparently means that you've pre-selected a seat. No idea what the letters actually represent but that's what the check in agent said.

I thought JLSF was Jetstar Lite Saver Fare. I may be wrong though. Happy someone who knows for sure to correct the record.

Apart from the fact JQ don't have Light/Lite Saver Fares, they have starter fares or starter plus fares? I'll see if I can ask the check-in or service desk today what they mean and get another opinion.

It only turns up when I book a promotion fare (e.g. sale, hot fare, etc). Personally, I think it's a label for cheapskates (such as myself).

I'll keep an eye out for it in September then, that's probably going to be my only non-sale JQ fare. All of them have been sale fares so far this year and I recall seeing JLSF on each and every one of them.

My BP shows LEGX, BA20, HVC, QFFP, V05A, WCEM, WCID. Don't know what most of these codes mean.

Fairly educated guesses

LEGX, WCEM - Guessing you have paid for a extra legroom emergency exit requiring ID check
BA20 - 20kgs checked baggage allowance
HVC, QFFP - You have status with QF (not that it will mean much) are on a Plus/Max fare and have selected QF points
V05A - Your plus fare gives you A$5 voucher
WCID - You use Web Check-in so ID should be checked

WCEM has been appearing on every JQ BP that has been issued since the BP layout changed. It never used to appear...
