We will be there for a week from 8 September, should I be booking now?

I'm taking mother dearest to NYC in October for a week. It's both of our first time there. As she is elderly, I was thinking of booking a full day bus tour to hit the hot spots and they claim we can "skip the line". If we like anything particular, we can go back ourselves. Does anyone have any experience with a good tour there or if this is even a good idea? Any help is greatly appreciated :o)

Taking family to Statue of Liberty on 20 July at 10am but only to pedestal...cant believe it is booked out til Sept to go to crown. Just booked it last weekend. Have an open pass for One World Trade Centre observatory for later that day so not locked into specific time....

Booked Crown tickets the moment they were available for 26 August, one week later they were all gone

I took my parents last year. Stay was 3 days and the best thing we did was book Grays tour bus.

They have more buses so you'll cover stops quicker. Avoid all the other bus companies.

I can't recommend a bus tour, but I did the boat cruise around Manhattan Island a few weeks ago which was great. Get there early so you get a seat on the top deck out the back. A hop-on hop-off bus might be good for getting around if your mother will struggle with the steps of the subway.

The link in my post above is where you book the tickets.

Book as soon as you have your New York dates confirmed.

Dates for November have just been released.

Thanks for the link Hvr
