Hi Just received this (probably targeted) offer to enjoy 50% more status credits

Dear Andyzx,
To help you soar towards more benefits faster, we're offering you 50% bonus Status Credits* when you fly on any eligible flight^ with a QF flight number.
It's not just a one-off opportunity to boost your Status Credits, either. Simply register, remember to include your Qantas Frequent Flyer number when you book, and you'll earn the 50% bonus Status Credits on:
· All new bookings made between 21 April 2015 and 12 May 2015
· For travel between 21 April 2015 and 21 July 2015

Would have preferred the earning on award tickets offer, I was planning that already but got this offer instead.

Any suggestions to get 180 SC's (120 + 50%)

Cheers Andy

I got both witht he double SC offer this morning.
Very short booking time IMO, but unfortunately for me too late as I would have used the offer to go to SIN, taking Mrs and Miss Altair on a family holiday in Business Class, to renew my WP. Now resigned to SG level come June.
Suggestions....get to AKL lots of options, then book AKL-SYD in First on the QF codeshare EK flight, sale will end tonight and it means you could do a sameday turnaround.

I got both the award earning and 50% bonus offers, but the first flight I am taking is 3 days too late to get 50% extra... Such a shame!

Have you tried EK's F? With a QF flight number of course.
SYD - BNE in J (40 SC), BNE - AKL in F (80 SC), AKL to SYD in what class you want, (xx SC).
I am trying QF's JetConnect MEL - WLG in J (with a try of the MELi J lounge in Octotber), but booking made a few weeks back, and then flying (Air) NZ Works Deluxe back to SYD.
Have not ever received a DSC offer.
For Altair, when I was in the J lounge at AKL a few weeks ago, I asked the person at the counter where the F lounge was at AKL, he pointed at the frosted doors, to the left hand side of the J lounge desk, I was surprised when he said it wasn't as good as QF's F lounges elsewhere, I don't know if it was a fob off, but for me, I would try the SYD F, as a lot more of WP/P1 with QF and its partners fly out from there.

Thanks for the AKL SYD suggestions. I had to find out if i was working first and the sale has ended, oh well silver here i come.

Cheers

How much were the sale fare guys?

Approx NZ$850-900 on the QF NZ website. they were more expensive on the QF AU website. Bugger is all i can say I didn't have time to grab a seat.

It's Larger than the BNE F lounge. Poor range (1) of champagne. Sometimes the food offering in the J lounge is better.
Otherwise uninspiring.

It does not seem to have changed from when I was last there over 4 years ago.
Back then the only additional perk I think was the fact that the First showers had Molten Brown toiletries while the QP showers used the ubiquitous pink stuff from the dispensers.
I have noticed the WLG QP now stocks ASPAR toiletries in their showers instead of Molten Brown, I wonder if that has changed in AKL.
I am deciding whether to use the bonus SC offer to help me requalify for next year but the only trip I had definitely planned was in October but I may try the AKL-SYD-AKL trip on EK First on the QF code if the sale starts again in the time period of the offer.

Been waiting for for one of these or a double SC (still exist?) for Sep-Oct trip to UK and Europe so we can retain our WP status. One can only live in hope I suppose. The last one we received was not of use unfortunately.

My Bronze relative got a 50% bonus points, not status credits but points!
Hope she gets a 50% SC one as she wants to make Silver this year.

hello. As I have just joined your AFF site. lots of travels in the past and more to come. I thought I might learn a few tips. I have never been able to work out what I have to do to get more status credits. And if I. Get more what do I get for getting status credits??? Thanks

I didn't get an offer last Christmas, but the Christmas prior I was offered 100% status credit bonus. I'll just stop flying towards the end of this year to see if I get an email :)

I got one of these today, but my flights are booked through our corporate travel agency rather than the QF site itself, so I don't think I'm eligible :(

I'm waiting on the additional status credits posting - flights were taken 7 weeks ago (T&Cs state 6 weeks). Have others received their status credits more quickly? Would prefer not to have to ring QF to follow up if it can be avoided.

Dear Qantas,

Please send me a status bonus emails and I will book some flights

regards

Booking through Corporate TA has never been an issue for me previously (I've not received an offer in about 18months, though).

Regards,

BD
