Don't Be That Guy: Travel Do's And Don'ts - One Mile at a Time

Interesting read and commentary by readers about particularly taking and publishing photos of fellow travellers.

There seems to be a lot missing as well... like 'do' try and control unruly children, and 'do' at least make an attempt to pacify your crying baby/toddler/child (no one is really complaining the child is crying... we accept they do... but we don't appreciate when parents completely ignore the issue or refuse to at least deal with it).

And how about 'don't' snore!! (If you know you are likely to snore... you should take all steps to try and minimise the possibility that's going to happen... like sleep on your stomach if in a seat that permits you to do so.)

As for the photos... Lucky (the blog's author)does that. I don't agree with his approach, but he seems oblivious to it. He has published photos several times accompanied by disapproving comments. He could easily publish those photos blocking out the identity.

Good points but I'm not certain if those who snore realise the nuisance they create for fellow passengers. One woman passenger took matters in her own hands, literally, to poke a snorer and she was led off the airplane:

One other etiquette point:

The rush some are in to disembark, pushing past those already standing in queue. At end of international flights, mostly.

I recall a flight in the top level of QF128 (my first in QF J) where the whole cabin was reminded of a passengers incompetent airway. I've never heard such loud snoring, especially when it could easily be heard above the standard racket of flying through the air at 1000km/h in a tin can.

I'm always torn between my love for flying (therefore a window seat is mandatory), yet having a bladder the size of a pen lid. I try and fly premium, or get the exit row where I can, but otherwise I'll try and dehydrate myself so I'm not constantly crawling over the poor sod next to me. I've recently found that I'm agile enough to easily jump over a flat skybed mk2 so I'm less limited in my lounge activities pre-flight, though.
