So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

My folks have a 2010 X5 35D M-Spec and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The X5 is the much much nicer drive, so I would imagine the updated version would be more of the same!

My brother is a car salesman. Apparently, you will only ever buy a Jeep once (great advertising campaign). A bit off topic, but have to say I hate the new Mitsubishi ad - "It's a Mitsi?". Or should it be "it's a Mitsi!" Either way, too similar to the Jeep ads.

not really a car I know but, sometimes this bad boy... gets around 2000L/100km...

although this is my ute... which doesn't usually bear an oversize sign or flashy light. it also uses significantly less fuel than the above bus. It's back in SA at the moment though :(

and it has been in such compromising positions a few too many times...

I've heard similar but sometimes people can't be told. They got it for towing the horse float as X5 doesn't do 3.5T... did briefly look at the Touraeg but can't tell some people.

It's a nice car but at ~$70k on road I think there is better value in 2 year old Euro's.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago for a Focus RS, won't be available until mid next year, but I can wait, been a while since a Ford RS came with 4 wheel drive.

I'm very jealous...

A slight suspension lift and some all terrains would lead to hours of fun :D

I'm sure Jeep will have an upsurge in sales in 10-15 years time as it seems to be children's most quoted ad
Agree Mitsubishi trying to do similar but Mitsi sounds too cutesy; I've never heard anyone call them that before the ad

I'd cross shop the new XC90 and the LR Discovery Sport in that case.

The Discovery Sport is arriving this week at the dealer. I need to sort something out within the next month so that rules out the XC90. Like the look of the Range Rover Sport but 7 seats are extremely rare and the price was a little high.

I was going to ask about the price of the X5 but then looked it up. Around $190K???

I'll just back away now and go back to my new $45K Pathfinder which I thought was too much to pay for a car...

Just bought a Honda CRV RM Series 11 VTI-L-T with ADAS AWD and 2.4 Petrol. Excellent little run around full of technology and comfy as. Great Value at 44,500.00 Drive Away.

The X5s I'm looking at are nowhere near that cost. More likely $110K
LCT is a bit of a killer though :(

Drove a AMG A45 on the weekend what a car, but 12 month wait list.... Hmmm

I am looking at something similar but am swaying towards an Audi S3 convertible. I have been resisting the temptation to go into the dealership as I know I will probably buy one, there's a few really nice demo's out there which means I don't need to wait x months for a delivery and they are fully optioned too. Now to go sell my MY14 Forester XT.
