I am a paid up subscriber to ExpertFlyer. When I check fares SYD-JFK June 26-July12 I see a range of amazingly cheap fares.
When I go to the airline websites I cannot get near the fare that EF quotes. What am I doing wrong?

ExpertFlyer is reporting all the published fares for the routing per your search criteria. But each fare has a whole set of rules and criteria that must be met, such as the airline having availability in the specific booking code that the published fare must be booked into. So if the fare requires say V class availability and there is no V class available on the day your are wanting to travel, you cannot book that fare. The airline's web site, or any other booking site, will only show the fare if there is availability for the day you have selected.I am a paid up subscriber to ExpertFlyer.
