Got a shock the other day when I notice I only got 88pts on my Qantas acct for a fuel fill up.

I did some googling and found out they now only offer 2 pts per ltr! :-(

When did that change from 4pts per ltr?

I was always under the impression that the 4cpl voucher only ever offered 2 points per litre if you chose that option.

Nope positive it was 4 per ltr.

Here is a couple of snips from my acct.

Pretty sure I have a 60ltr tank

I usually let my car get down very low before filling up the 250pts amount is pretty common for me.

Do you have any of the Woolworths insurances or have recently ended one of the Woolworths insurances? The WW insurance company were offering an extra discount at the relevant petrol stations and it's possible this extra discount could be converted into points. The extra voucher from the insurance policy might have made it look like the deal was 4points per litre and now you are only getting the standard 2 points per litre.

As far as I know the standard 4 cents per litre voucher has always converted directly to 2 points per litre for QFF members who have set up their purchase that way.

The only time it was higher was when the high value fuel vouchers were in use. The ACCC put an end to that promotion. EDR still gives some members 10 cent fuel vouchers as one off promotions without them having to spend anything. Perhaps one of these was used in a previous transaction. By my calculations that would have been converted into 5 QFF points per litre.

As far as I recall it was always 2 QFF points/litre of fuel.

I'm also fairly certain that they only ever offered 2 points per litre. Is it possible that you filled up during the week where you were award 270 points? The points aren't added to your account after every shop, rather weekly.

So does the educated have the 4c discount PLUS the 2 (or however many) point per litre? I was always under the impression that it is only the discount.

With EDR, you need to forgo the 4c/litre discount in order to earn the 2 points per litre.

Nope there is no way I fill up more than once a week!

I am lucky to need to fill my car MONTHLY.

You will see from one I posted that it specifically tells you the date i filled up.

Not a week ending date.

I am 100% certain that it used to be 4pts per litre.

Were you by any chance making an in-store purchase at the same time? This may have kicked off the extra 4c discount, which would have ended up as a 2 pt + 2 pt transaction.

This is really puzzling me. I don't think I do anything special.

Pretty sure I don't shop in the store (I mainly fill up at tiny woollies stores - you know the ones that barely have 5 different types of drinks in them)

I didn't realise that when you got bonus offers you got more points - I thought those bonus offers were only for people who got the actual $$ discounts so I certainly didn't change my spending habits to obtain them!

I really only earn a piddly amount! But it all adds up - got ticket to Tokyo next year for me and the boy, using mostly my points and getting the boy bonus sign up points and getting credit card sign up points.

But he is now excited about the prospect and is eager to get every last point we can!

Thinking about a joint Bankwest acct. Doesn't seem like much but it does all add up!

It's always only ever been half the fuel voucher:

Old days: 16c voucher = 8 QFF per litre

8c voucher = 4 QFF

Now: Only 4c voucher permitted = 2 QFF. (excluding in servo bobus purchasing).
