We have a meeting room booked through Qantas Melbourne airport all day. MrP a WP, I am SG and both of us flying back to Adelaide on Qantas later that day. Three others in attendance and two of those (probably) flying Qantas later that day - not sure of their status. One other not flying at all.

So the question is, are we able to move into the Qantas Club a few times during the day for refreshments? Guesting will be fine through WP and SG status.

I don't think you can get into the QP without a BP.
The meeting rooms are quite a way from the QP from memory, Near Gate 1 I think?
That's further than I'd walk for ham and potato salad.

We will have a BP but think we can guest in WP - 2 and SG -1 who do not need to be travelling but could have read that wrong. The meal service is expensive - $40 pp. Thanks for info about the location - that helps!

You're welcome.
I stand corrected, you are correct that WP can guest in 2 people who aren't travelling as long as the WP has a boarding pass. Same for Gold with the 1 guest.
Personally, I'd wander to the food court over QP food.

You should be able to come and go from the Qantas Lounge as often as you like. Guests do not need to be travelling.

If boarding pass an issue then ask front desk to issue you both a boarding pass.

Thanks JohnK. Is there a time limit before our flight we can check luggage in?

Not sure. I have never checked in early but cannot see why you cannot use OLCI and then go to bag drop. Or even go to check-in kiosk, print bag tags and boarding pass.

MEL domestic have always been fussy about this, with a 3 hour cut off for it. I've had this quite a few times when transferring from an international flight - always frustrating.
That said, I haven't tried it with the DIY bag drops, so I'd be interested to hear how you go with that.

I've never had to show my boarding pass in Melbourne, except when they did that survey thing a few weeks ago.

You should be able to just show your membership card and walk through
