Took my cat to the vet today

Vet you see this brown stuff it's tartar it causes gum disease

Me is it

Vet yes it also causes bad breath & their teeth to fall out

Vet I'd recommend a teeth cleaning under general anaesthetic at $500

Me really well I can see no loss of periodontal attachment & the calculus (because that's the correct terminology not tartar ) is marginal at best there is no way that there is any chance of this cat losing his teeth due to periodontal disease in the foreseeable future!
