How's the weather in April ?
I'll be there for 3 nights over Easter (April 4-7th) with my wife, first time there, staying at the IC the one on the harbour.
Thanks for the suggestions in this thread, I will certainly incorporate some/most of them into my plans.

Lately I've been less concerned with weather and more focused on air quality. Its terrible in HK these days. Bring a mask!

Ok going to join the discussion.....I have two flights left on a rewards RTW ticket that I was intending to use but circumstances have changed....looked into it last week and I can still use 1 of the flights BNE to HKG (as there is availability for me to return on a reward ticket)...it is in the middle of June is it really worth it for probably only 3 days? I would be travelling by myself and would be happy just to camp out in a nice hotel and do not much at all.

The worst months for heat and humidity in Hong Kong is definitely mid July to late August where even night time, the temperature stays above 27~28 degrees.
June isn't too bad, but it'll feel like the tropical North Queensland in the wet season.
November is by far the most comfortable month where the humidity drops and so does the temperature to ~20-25 degrees.

I was there last year arriving on 24 Sept, for 10 days and every day was very hot and very humid. Unless you like that sort of weather .... However, the buses are new, airconed and clean are easy for tourists to navigate.
