Hi guys,
I am on CX846 HKG-JFK which is scheduled to depart at 18:45, how early can I check in ?
Was hoping to check in early so I can check out a few lounges etc. It'll be my first time flying CX F and also first time in HKG.
Cheers.
If you checkin in the city (Kowloon or Hong Kong), you can even drop your bag the day before your flight.

Hi defurax, thanks for the link. Does this mean that once you get your boarding pass you can use all the lounges in HKG, or will they prevent you from entering if it's more than 3 hours before scheduled departure?

When I was there I planned to lounge hop. Instead went to the CX F lounge, had a great shower and meal. Figured I'd check out the QF lounge for 30 minutes prior to my flight. Wish I stayed an extra 30 minutes in the CX F lounge![]()
I have used lounges in HKG at ~7:00am when my next flight was not until ~11:00pm that night.Hi defurax, thanks for the link. And you can come and go from lounges as often as you like.
Is this still the case though? I've noticed as recently as November that upon entry to the wing F lounge they stamp my BP as 'already entered. ' I'm guessing to prevent entering multiple lounges?
I entered 7 lounges early November and had no issue whatsoever and do remember the stamp you are referring to. I have seen that stamp before. It is on some of my boarding passes from earlier visits. Is this still the case though? I've noticed as recently as November that upon entry to the wing F lounge they stamp my BP as 'already entered. It's so you can return to that lounge and there is no need for them to go through the formalities again, if you leave and return. Last June's AFF lounge crawl meant we had about 6 or more stamps on our boarding passes before we eventually reached QF.
I have not been a fan of the new Qantas lounge but this last trip in January I was quite impressed.Good to know JohnK and CMA222, I wasn't sure what the stamps were for, now I know!I normally just stay in the Wing F the whole time I am there as unfortunately the qf hkg lounge just doesn't cut it for a WP when compared to cx f lounge!
You can actually check in for pretty much all airlines at the Central or Kowloon station check ins, doesn't have to be CX. It's just such a great service.
