What is a "Expanded Reward"?

Stayed recently at Conrad Dubai and I note in my "Past Stays" section of my HH account that under that stay is a line which says

Expanded Rewards P&M - Cat 8 Hotel

as well as providing a certificate number.

Does anyone know what this is? (The stay was a points + pay reward stay)

I wondered the same thing. I have 2 future reward bookings and they are both described as Expanded Reward bookings.

P&M = Points & Money and I suspect "Expanded Rewards" is just a new fancy name for Rewards stay ...

That makes a great deal of sense. I wonder why my other points and pay rewards made in the last few days have not posted the same. Also wonder why they give a certificate number (although I think I recall all points rewards having a certificate number).

Expanded rewards are the new options that came in 2011, such as points and money.
