Virgin Australia’s ‘Design our Next Dish’ Competition
So I am sure most people here are not at all interested in this competition however I have been following it closely. Being a lover of all things food I was interested in the outcome and although I thought the prize pool was pretty sad it was a cool idea with the winner having their meal being served. What had really got me interested now is that it is long past the announcement dates without a word from Virgin about the results. ds.

This got me wondering how often do Virgin offer competitions and never pay up? I guess it great marketing strategy as you get all the hype with none of the cost. Reading though their Terms and Conditions there are many get out jail free cards like below
39. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by
computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failure or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the
administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter
reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process,
take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, or
invalidate any affected entries, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
I would be interest to hear if anyone else has noticed competitions being offered that never seem to get announced.
