The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

We have been running a workshop here for the last few days so that's why we're at this motel. It's progressively renovating its rooms, mine's not but some are quite good. Storm was pretty impressive.

We have a house in Tamworth, I am dreading the time / money we will have to spend renovating it when the time comes.
Should have dad's house finished this weekend, then it can go to the rental market too.

Byron Bay :p

Yep Byron Shire Council ..... The admin centre is in Mullumbimby (say no more). You won't find a more difficult Council to deal with anywhere.
They seem to change their D.A. requirements daily.............never again.

Nice shot of the new girl in the fleet - HMAS Canberra.

Interesting history... (wiki)

In recognition of the valour displayed by the Australian ship and her company, United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt wished to commemorate the loss of HMAS Canberra by naming a US ship in her honour.[SUP][28][/SUP]The under-construction Baltimore class cruiser Pittsburgh was selected to be renamed USS Canberra.[SUP][33][/SUP] The ship was launched on 19 April 1943 by Lady Alice C. Dixon, the wife of Sir Owen Dixon, Australia's ambassador to the United States, and is the only United States warship to be named after a foreign capital city.[SUP][28][/SUP]
