Hi all,
Is there a confident way to calculate the amount of QFF status credits I will receive flying Cathay Pacific.
I am looking at flights, Melbourne-HK-Toronto return business in March.
Cathay is $1k cheaper than Qantas, and from what I can gather, I may get the same status credits as going QAN Mel-LAX-Toronto.
Im aware of the overall drop in status credits from partner airlines.
Many thanks

Qf website there is a calculator that works it .... select route, status and airline ...very easy

The airline selected is the marketing airline and not the operating airline. So for a QF flight number operated by a CK airplane select QF. A CK flight number operated by QF airplane - select CK

There are QF codeshare flights with CX?

You're looking at 31,034 points and 440 SC on CX via HKG, compared to 34,800 points and 520 SC on QF. However, it's also important to check whether you'll be booking a flexible business ticket or not, as on QF that would increase the earn ever so slightly by 60 SC overall (and another 5700 points). These figures also don't include a status bonus, which you wont get on CX but will on QF giving you the ability to boost your points by up to 23,200!

Thank you all for your help. Thanks Sam for the calculation. I didn't realise the points calculator could allow you to look at partner airlines!
Wow, qantas do really reward you status credits for flying with them! or maybe punish you for not.

Can someone confirm for me please status credits flying (not flexible) J class on QF flight code on Emirates, Sydney to Bangkok.

Flying on QF code should be the same as QF which is 13,000 and 120 SC's for business. Flying on EK as EK is only 5855 points no SC's. (that is both with Platinum status)

At this stage one of us is for the flight back unfortunately. I'll try change that but it's a fullish flight even in J. Maybe F upgrade? :p
That would be lovely. And much better than the J seat on the B77W. ;)

Just don't get stuck in the middle seat!

I decided I would rather sit next to a stranger in the Aisle than the middle seat of three so just changed. I am now across the aisle from MrP. The J seats are very private anyway so hardly a problem.
