Seniority...aka...old age. There's only a limited amount of slots, so if a whole bunch disappear, as has happened, the overall pie is a lot smaller.

Is The company still bringing in cadets, top guns or similar or bachelor of aviation types or is it in offloading mode to EK and others

I don't think they have hired anyone for QF since about 2008. They've just had a VR, and many are on leave without pay.

Sorry that there are no 767 flights originating from SYD before DEC 17.

The 767s will continue to operate on regular services until Dec 27. Red Roo's post is about the last 767 flights for each particular city pair.

What will the actual flight crew on the last 767 flight do after dropping the airplane at VCV career wise?

I was talking to the flight crew on a recent 767 flight and they mentioned they are moving to the A380 fleet after December.

And those on LWOP are working for EK and the like? With a potential view of coming back?

pity these pilots used to be flying QF but now maybe flying QF codeshares

Whilst they may, I suspect that virtually none will. Why get to the point where you can have 380 command with EK, to come back to either an FO slot or a 737? Leave without pay is a way of testing the water....
