50% bonus SC will take up to 6-8 weeks to credit

Rang QFF about the bonus offer. Have eligible flight last week but Bonus SC not credited , only base SC.

QFF says it can take 6-8 weeks.
But they said even if it credits after the anniversary date, it will be backdated???.

The bonus will put me into WP for the first time.

Not sure if I can trust that.

Is it because these have to be manually done?
Anyone have experience about similar.

Mine posted within a few days:
Date of flights - 16 August and 4 October (both EK with QF codeshares)
Date of base SC - 19 August and 6 October respectively
Date of bonus SC - 20 August and 7 October respectively

I have also had some of the 50% bonus points post - 2 days after the standard SC appeared in my account.

Mine took a couple of weeks in the first instance but the second one was very fast.

If the eligible flight occurs before anniversary date but the SC gets credited after anniversary date, will QF allocate these and backdate to prior to anniversary date and potentially then allowing a promotion into the next Tier?

I believe so, based on what my activity statement shows - the entry refers to the actual date of the flight even though the bonus SCs were posted on 7 October:
"LET QANTAS REWARD YOU BONUS STATUS CREDITS 04OCT14"

How can I possibly relax. It's too much to bear. It's like my first F booking. The anticipation and then I tried to stay awake the whole flight LAX-SYD. Like a kid in a candy store

all I need is 20 SC!
