New bose qc 25 - who will be the first to trial?

I decided to put an end to the potentially endless cycle of research and procrastination, burned some points and ordered a pair of QC20i from the QFF store. Can't wait - my biggest worry is that they don't arrive before we fly out to the UK on 6/11. QFF store has as estimated delivery date of 5/11!

FWIW, I used my QC20i's for the first time flying to/from China last week and loved them. The sound quality is what I was expecting the only issue I've found was my right ear not fitting properly, should change the tip sometime! The best part was being able to listen to some chill out music and fall asleep with them in!

Bought a set in Dallas for US$299 and they are superb. Only problem is I picked the white ones and I think after a few trips the case will certainly show the wear-and-tear. The price here in Heathrow Duty free at Dixons was 269 pound on special!

Ordered the QC20i Sunday PM and they were delivered to my door at 8.00 am Wednesday (today), an impressive performance by QFF store and BOSE.

With more time I'm sure they could be procured with a better return on points through planning, use of gift cards and possible price matching. Time was of the essence for me and I was cash poor so I'm happy.

No time today for an "unboxing", but I'm looking forward to giving them a test run on my SYD-BNE-SYD flights this Friday ahead of the OS trip next week.

I think I should report this thread.

I woke up this morning to the realisation I'd been debating the pros and cons of headphones with a complete stranger in my dream last night!

When I was a young guy, I used to enjoy dreams with the only downside having to explain the state of the sheets to my mother.......these days I find myself having to explain to my wife why I'm dreaming of headphones rather than her! :shock:

Warning to all males.......enjoy your teens, it's all downhill from there! :mrgreen:

I also did the big splurge and bought the Bose Soundlink Mini for $US199. One thing I miss when I'm travelling is listening to my sound systems, but these small speaker are wonderful. I don't like the weight of them but i can live with that now I've heard them in the hotel room. My biggest concern now is the complaints from the next room or the hotel management!!!

I might have a look at this, since I dropped my old set on my last trip. The 15 gave me a pressured feeling in my ears, so hopefully the 25 wouldn't do the same.
