I don't see any timings on the QF website for flights between SIN and PER in the coming Dec-Jan school holidays. Am I too early, or should I be worried that they're not going to happen?

We are booked PER - SIN & SIN - PER in Dec - Jan School holidays on Jetstar. Booked through travel agency but did check on airline website three months ago & all flights were there for this period?

All Jetstar flights are there, but there are meant to be seasonal QF flights during school holidays.

Red Roo, any news?

I read the seasonal PER-SIN flights as only operating in this year's mid-year school holidays, possibly due to heavy existing loads. I'm not sure QF intended the flights to be permanently seasonal.

Thanks Danger. With respect, I hope you read it wrong ;) Do you have any idea where I might find information about this? I've tried searching The QF and AFF websites but no luck.

I would imagine any flights would be on the GDS for the Christmas period, I suspect the aircraft are being used elsewhere to replace equipment that is being used for the extra services to the US etc announced.

You don't hope I'm wrong as much as I hope I'm wrong!

I would try the Qantas media website around the time of the announcement. There's this statement that says Qantas would withdraw from Perth-Singapore in the first quarter of FY15 (which of course was brought forward).

But there is a glimmer of hope. This speech by Joyce to the WA Chamber of Commerce says "And we will continue to operate seasonal international flights on routes like Perth - Singapore and Perth - Auckland". So there you have it, right from the CEO's mouth. Seasonal PER-SIN flights will continue. And if Joyce says it then it must be true.

Hang on . . .

Thanks for the links Danger. Of course it must be true if Alan said it :) I will keep hoping.

Markis, excuse my ignorance.....GDS?
