I'm looking at an almost spur-of-the-moment trip to Bahamas and a couple of Caribbean islands (ex Nth America); it'll be spur of the moment because of work commitments but outside Nth American school holidays.
I'll be able to fly into and out of say, Nassau or one of the other capitals OK using American or similar, but from there I'd like to fly on to other capitals without booking ahead by more than a day or so. I'm wondering if anyone has experience / can offer any advice on flights between countries in the area?
Looking at Lonely Planet, most of the island based airlines seem somewhat unreliable, schedule wise which might be a problem.
I realise it'll be a case of YYMV, but are any of the island's airlines known to be more or less reliable or reputable? At the moment I'm not wedded to any particular destination, so reliability will be a factor.
