Hi all,

Family have booked flights via bloody flight centre, which has resulted in a 1930hrs arrival to Heathrow. "thats the time the flight gets in" from them. Flight Centre MORONS!
They want to stay at Heathrow and pickup Hirecar at Heathrow the following day.
Which Heathrow accom would you stay at?
How much is it going to cost?

Now they want to return the car a day early to Heathrow and train into town and stay the night.
Where in town\London AIRBNB or motel?

Costs can be bad.

Try booking.com just to get an idea of accom cost vs car hire - you've seen my post on your car hire question earlier

http://www.australianfrequentflyer....s-and-limos/uk-sept-3week-car-hire-61911.html

You can find out the cost of the train travel but it is not cheap from the airport and depending which option you take can lose you much time. Also depends whether getting one room or two. Given your car hire quote (mentioned in other thread) the room cost will be much more than you'd save on car hire. What I've always done for fly out of LHR is to drop the family off at the correct terminal then drive to the hire car place etc.

Your partner etc can check-in for all but you and if family not to bad at shopping then (provided you can be trusted not to put illegal contraband in you luggage) they can check your bag in under their ticket.

Heathrow listed Premier Inns are close to airport but nowhere near as close (18metres) as for the one at Gatwick Airport. There is a second about 400m away as well.

Would it be better to pick the car up after arrival and drive somewhere away from Heathrow to accom?

So two people prepay 49pound and then how much for train ride?
Is there any tips to catching the train ie. Get a return ticket as last 24hrs?

Edit: Do they have free parking? NO chargeable.

Time for you to do some 'googling' - the more effort you put into working out your holiday the more you'll appreciate it.

Combination of Google maps and accom sites, London transport and you're there!

We recently stayed at The Travelodge Terminal 5 Heathrow, hired a car at Heathrow, drove to Travel Lodge and paid parking think 7 pounds for 24 hours ,there is a bus from Travel lodge to and from Heathrow for about 4 pounds each - From memory we had 2 nights in a family room for 50 pounds, basic but clean and restaurant of sorts with a bar downstairs. We have stayed there a few times

Thankyou for the above option DontGetMeStarted 37pounds ripper!
