Does anyone know generally how long it takes to receive AA cards in OZ once you've hit plat?

I still haven't received mine since qualifying late March. I sent them a message early Mat and they said international deliveries were delayed but to print card from My Account page. I think they've just forgotten me.

and here I was thinking I could qualify in oct and get it by the end of nov... I was even considering qualifying at the end of this month to hopefully get the card by the end of nov. I guess in both cases its extremely unlikely?

It's not really that relevant. Your new status shows up within q few days of qualification on the Oneworld system so lounge access etc is assured based on that.

Thanks for that. I'm just a bit worried as I've heard some problematic things as if you the lack the card the lounge may deny you entry?

Your boarding pass will have Oneworld Sapphire on it. I've never had to.produce the actual card at a Oneworld lounge but others may have differing experiences. You can print a.card from My Account if you're worried.

Even with my card with me, I don't think I've ever pulled it out for lounge access.

I found that the card problem is usually more associated with those who are only QP members and don't have any status on the BP, especially with the BA lounges who get a little cough about presenting the QP card when there is no status on the BP.
