I've booked my flights BNE-DUB return in October through VA and got my EY PNR but despite all my searching I haven't been able to find any recommendations for whY seats on Etihad. I've upgraded the SYD-AUH leg to J however going DUB-AUH-SIN-BNE on the way home is all in Y (what was I thinking?!?).

I want to call and select seats but not sure which ones, from what I have read they can't book exit rows for VA tickets. I've only ever flown J on EY so really no idea if there are any 'better' seats other than what's shown on seatguru.

Dredging up an old thread, but I have the same question (ish).

Booked MEL-AUH-DUB rtn on a VA ticket but EY metal all four sectors.

No online seat select (as expected) using either VA website or the EY PNR on their MMB page.

VA plat line was very helpful but told me that it was a real struggle to find the EY 77W (3 class) seatmap and conferenced in an EY agent at one point, although they eventually allocated bulkhead seats 20 D/E (we're traveling with an infant so qualify for a basinet).

But looking at the EY seatmap, SeatGuru and a few other sites, the basinets aren't at row 20 ?

Perhaps there has been a reconfig of some EY 777s and the seatmaps online are out of date ?

And I cant see my seat allocation on either VA or EY PNR online. Any ideas how I can confirm these?

Back to LACE's question. Anyone have suggestions for Y seating on the EY 773ER, where is best and how to get them from a VA ticket ?

I ended up getting my PNR and calling etihad direct. They couldn't/ wouldn't give me exit row seats so I just selected aisle seats as far forward as possible. Still debating whether to go for the paid upgrade at the airport.

Did you ever confirm the seat map for your flight ? Could have tried the 789 if you did the BNE-AUH Nov or later(rather than going via SYD).

On the 332 for all EY legs confirmed by the phone rep. Seat selections are showing on the VA website. I might have to take another trip later in the year to try the 789 :)
