Hi All

Traveling to US next year. 2 x J tickets syd to lax on VA..

Also going to New York and either on the way over or back ( LA to NY ) will stop in Colorado...Any thoughts on preferences for Virgin America or Delta for Velocity earn

Thanks

The earn rates are exactly the same for DL and VX - pick whichever carrier's schedule suits you the best I'd say.

Do you have VA status ? DL will have better lounge access than VX

Status only have silver.. will be close to Gold by the time we go. Will check out the lounge options in case I reach Gold.

Thanks...did not even think of that !

Although you are chasing points remember to consider the price variances using other airlines where you won't get points. A few month ago we flew Southwest from EWR to DEN and the cost was in favour of Southwest. I guess it depends if you are desperate for points or not. Although OT Southwest where OK except for their stupid boarding process. We thought we would be smart and go for the back row thinking it would recline a bit and not bother anybody. We were wrong.... However if I was able to choose between VX and DL I would choose VX in economy.
