How long does it take for Hilton to process VA status benifit

I reached VA gold about 1 month ago and decided to use the hotel benifit to upgrade my Hilton account, but one month on my Hilton account still shows my paultry blue status. So was curious as to how long it has taken for others to have their Hilton account reflect the benifit. Going to London in 4 weeks time and staying in a Hilton, so would be good to get the free breakfast that comes with Hilton gold.

PS just hope they haven't done what they did when I got upgraded last time (thanks to a Qantas/VA status match), which was a new account created and the card took 3 months to arrive, by which time the match was half over.

I recall when I qual for Plat and HHDiamond, it took about 3 months and then a new account was created so I then had to merge the old account with the new but that didnt seem to work as I couldnt use either number when booking Hotel. Plat helpdesk extremely helpful and sorted it all out within 2 days of me contacting them. Dont think you will get it in time for your travel bu you could try the helpdesk....

Thanks, kind of makes it useless as it will have more or less expired before I can use it! Now I understand why it can be offered.

How can it "more or less" expire, once it's activated the status will be good until end of March 2016?

So you loose 3 months. If I recall when it started 3 years back the match was only for 6 months, so only got 3 months use. Though I do note it is now 12, of which 3 months are unusable.

It took over 4 months for my pack to arrive from HH, however I stayed at a Hilton within that time and I was on their database, full benefits were applied for my stay.
