Free Qantas FF membership

True, but it should just be free, full stop!

Personally, I don't care either way. On the one hand I've paid for myself and all my families members to join over the years. So I'd like other people to make the same commitment. Free memberships are also clearly show the change to QFF away from a flying base.

On the other hand I've paid for all our memberships. Good on others for getting it free.

But is it worth the slog to collect FF mileage and SCs?
Seeing that cheaper fares earn less of both.
Some of us flyers don't have large companies paying for our travels.
