Re: Heads up about program changes

Seriously? She is 55kgs and I am 120kg. It makes no sense what so ever for her to sit in business with me cramped in economy.

This scenario reminds me of a classic Seinfeld episode - The Airport.

Re: Heads up about program changes

It's not the travel class but who you travel with.

In my previous relationship, I was told off for choosing a seat that was in the opposite aisle...
Typical woman. Wants you to sit next her and also take the middle seat like an obedient dog.

And while we're here... what does John's personal life has anything to do with, er, "heads up about program changes"?
Yeah. Why are we discussing my personal life?

Not to worry. I am sure someone is learning what not to do by reading this thread....

Re: Heads up about program changes

Sounds like you haven't yet learnt yes means no, and no means yes!! You better wise up quick mate, or you'll be traveling on your own real soon again :)

I keep wondering if the girlfriend said it was "fine" for her to sit in Y. No woman says its "fine" and means it.

On the other hand, I often threaten to put my husband in Y. The only time the word divorce is ever mentioned from him.

Re: Heads up about program changes

Do you think it is OK for me to sit in business and the fiancee in economy? :p

Perfectly ok IMO. In 2 weeks time I am flying EK f class and mrs eric is flying J.

Thing is, I'm flying on Thurs and she is flying Fri and I havnt been game to tell her yet.

Re: Heads up about program changes

On one trip Mrs Lime went Y and I went J on CX said she would spend the difference in Hong Kong, on both departures from/to OZ I waved her goodbye at the boarding gate queue, boarded, looked over later and there she was seated in J on the opposite side of cabin, smiling with a wave... and yes she still went shopping :D

Women don't lie, they just hold back on what they truly think and expect you to be able to read their mind to determine the actual truth. Duh ;)
Sometimes it's just about avoiding creating a drama or causing an argument.

We take turns, it's really not that hard to be respectfull of one another.

Re: Heads up about program changes

I sat in row 3 on VA domestic flight and my wife is row 4 directly behind me. I have never let that one down, I wouldn't even consider a different cabin.

Whenever a woman uses the "F" word (and I do mean Fine), you should always realise that things are most definately NOT fine

Just like when a woman asks if you'd like dessert; the answer should always be yes. Because she probably wants someone to share.

Re: Heads up about program changes

Only I time I travelled in J and the Mrs in Y was last year when we did MEL-SYD and I "had" to be in J because it was part of a JASA and I need the SC. We tried to upgrade her but didn't work. Had a very nice J meal as well :p

Never agin though.

That is touching.

I don't do middle seats. For anyone. Seriously.

I sit in the aisle seat. The compromise is really simple if she wants to sit next to me. If she doesn't want to compromise let's hope the opposite aisle is vacant.

Well he's important enough to me that I'll suffer a middle seat on a domestic, and he does the same for me. Long haul is a different matter, nothing wrong with being either side of the aisle.

She is important to me as well and she will not want me to suffer. Some women don't like the opposite aisle idea and want to sit next to their man with him in middle. Totally illogical thinking.

On our only flight together I offered to allocate her the window seat with middle seat vacant or if she wanted the opposite aisle. She definitely wanted middle seat. I think I am OK.
