Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

Still cannot view my ticketed and booked VA domestic flights. Actually - it knows that I am flying on monday but not at what time or flight.

It seems that Tripcase and CheckMyTrip can properly display my flight details and times - but its all a little bit too hard for the VA or Velocity website to display their own bookings.

Looks like they've been playing with the log-in system again. Discovered today I can't log in to my Velocity account any more because my password is longer than 16 characters and all the password fields now only allow a maximum of 16 characters. Had to go through the password reset link and use a less secure password instead :(

Worked fine 3 weeks ago.

I had another website do that - had entered a longer password (~15 characters) and the clusterf***ers messed with the login so it only accepted a maximum of 10 characters for the password. This was despite the fact that the password reset page actually still allowed a much longer password.

You have to question the code monkeys sometimes what's going up there in those bug-addled brains.

I'm still miffed that VA's website can't process multi-city bookings. Or show J fares on the same page as Y/Y+. Or keep me logged in for more than 5 seconds at a time

And I thought I had a dodgy experience earlier this evening when I clicked on my itinerary and the system promptly logged me out instead

My tip to VAONCI, too late for the OP I guess, is this:
I have a few flights coming up this weekend:
I forgo going to VR/VFF website.
I go to the Virgin Australia website, and then there, go for the OLCI, and the process is much easier, even able to pick my own seat, after the Upgrade Me Auction success.
I was able to do the OLCI in 5 mins on an Ipod with WIFI.
And then, pick email me the boarding pass, and add it to home screen, and then, at the gate, just scan the QR code.
This is only good for VA Australian domestic flights though.

Today's article in the Age newspaper about Virgins maintenance is a bit of a worry.

Trying to change seats for a booking this weekend. Website lets me choose new seat but spits out an error at the end. So I called and asked for it to be changed. No worries. Except it hasn't stuck either. :-|

Have you called back to check that it has not stuck? Not just one of those figments of VA unable to display the correct info online?

Possible, but it has occurred over two separate bookings. Will call again tomorrow. Interestingly, she insisted that seats could only be selected at booking and check-in, and not in between.

Talk about creative. Decided to check in online for our flights this weekend. Made sure we were happy with the selected seats and pressed confirm. Printed boarding passes and what would you know? Completely random seat reallocation. But the call centre can still see the original seat, not the one on my boarding pass.

Surely you aren't overly surprised.......are you?

Wondering if others are able to "View Account Details" for their Velocity account this morning? Im getting a error and please try again later message and wondering if its just me.

thanks,

A little! It certainly a bit strange to be moved from row 7 to 12... Had to call to get them to un-check me so I could fix and re-check in...

Then there's the issue of snacks and drinks on a flexi ticket; the website is vague and the FAs just as confused....

No issues here. Can access everything as normal.

And still they cannot actually run a website that actually works and looks professional....
