SQ - 5J 55 minutes transit

I'm thinkng of taking a punt on connecting from SQ256 (schedule arrival 15:30 T3) to a Cebu Pacific 5J (scheduled depart 16:25) allowing 55 minutes from T3 to T2.

Assuming I travel with carry on only and do internet checkin before departing Brisbane I think I can make it.

Looking at Flight tracker for SQ256 it's on time or early 11 out of the last 12 flights. The latest arrival was 16:09 which might be a bit of a stretch.

I'm pretty comfortable transiting Changi, just looking for any warning signs for a budget interchange. For instance, I wouldn't try the reverse with such fine timing.

I was wondering about this. I was hoping I could do it at the departure gate.

I travelled on SQ256 on Friday 9 May 2014. Had also been following Flight Tracker prior to departure to get an idea of arrival time as we were stopping overnight in Singapore on way to Frankfurt. Not sure if departure time on Flight Tracker is the time it leaves the gate or time it takes off.

Our flight left gate on time but did not take off until around 9.50am as long queue at Brisbane Airport. Arrival time into Singapore was around 3.10pm.


There were only 7 passengers in J (including wife and I) and great service!
