Aust shortest int'l flight

What do you think is the shortest (by hrs & mins) international flight to or from an Australian airport? It must be a scheduled airline service available to the public, not FIFO or charter. I think I know the answer but wanna see if someone can come up with one better. To start you off its less than SYD-AKL which is 3hrs 5mins.

The best i can come up with is DRW to DIL? Airnorth. 1hr 25 mins, 451 miles.

There may be something in the Torres straight to PNG but i wouldn't know where to look.

Well, it only took one post to beat me. Stupidly, as a travel agent I book this flight quite frequently yet it never occured to me. In fact, scheduled time for the services operated by the Embraer 170 jet is only 1hr 15mins. Well done 777! I started with PHE to DPS at 2hrs 15mins and then thought I was being a smarty with NLK to AKL at 1hr 45mins. I don't think anyone will beat yours.

DRW-DIL was my uneducated guess as well when I saw the question. I don't think there is anything shorter/quicker.

If there would be a non-stop jet service between CGK and Christmas Island it would for sure be the shortest & quickest (at 490km it's similar to LST-MEL which is scheduled for 1 hr) but I don't think there is or ever was:

Well if charters were allowed, it would most likely be TIS-DAU; a grand total of 121 miles (194km). And there is talk of commercial flights on this route (well at least by the locals in Western Province).

That's in a Q400, and Qantaslink's only international flight. Interesting that it is further than DRW-DIL at 521m, yet QF run it, rather than get Cobham or Air North to ply the route in a small turbofan such as E170 or F100
