Lufthansa on Wednesday 14MAY14 updated its first major changes to Winter 2014/15 Long-Haul operations, effective 26OCT14. This includes the launch of Premium Economy Class.
Premium Economy
Lufthansa will be introducing Premium Economy class on board Boeing 747-8I aircraft starting 10DEC14, with configuration of F8C80E32Y244 (LH uses E-class instead of W-class for General Premium Economy Class booking code). Routes to receive Premium Economy Class service as follow:
Frankfurt – Beijing
Frankfurt – Buenos Aires
Frankfurt – Chicago
Frankfurt – Hong Kong
Frankfurt – Mexico City
Frankfurt – Sao Paulo
Frankfurt – Seoul
General changes, effective 26OCT14 (unless otherwise stated), as follow:
Frankfurt – Bangkok 2-class A340-300 continues operation (Previously displaying A340-600 in W14)
Frankfurt – Beijing Boeing 747-8I operating, same as Winter 2013 season (Previously displaying A380 continues operation from 26OCT14)
Frankfurt – Buenos Aires Boeing 747-8I replacing 747-400
Frankfurt – Kuala Lumpur – Jakarta 2-class A340-300 continues operation (Previously displaying A340-600 in W14)
Frankfurt – New York JFK LH400/401 operates with A340-600 instead of A380 (Previously displaying A380 in W14)
Frankfurt – Osaka Kansai Airbus A340-300 replaces 747-400
Frankfurt – Seattle 26OCT14 – 05JAN15 3-class A330 replaces 2-class A340-300
Frankfurt – Seoul Incheon Boeing 747-8I operating once again, replacing 747-400. Service reduces from daily to 5 weekly (Day x13 from FRA, Day x24 from ICN)
Frankfurt – Tokyo Narita Airbus A340-300 replaces 747-400
As usual, Lufthansa is reducing a number of operations during slow season in January and February 2015.

Yep, and the seats were introduced in March, now we know where.
