I'm very, very disappointed with VA customer service. I took a flight last week under the impression that I would get double SC (under the March offer). However I was informed by the Premium service centre today that I was not eligible or did not register for the offer.
I certainly registered, even though the premium rep questioned this. I later found that my wife sent the link to me, admittedly I did not read the TC but now understand that the offer was targeted, I'm now 10 Sc short from re-qualifying for plat on June 8th.
I asked the plat service agent to explain the offer and was informed that yes indeed the offer was targeted and I must have got the link by mistake which seems to be the case. However when I made the case that the system allowed me to register I was told by the Rep “ oh you know what computers are like, your email address was not on the list” well I'm sorry Virgin your system registered me, if your site was not so backward and Babage-esk it should have simply said sorry you are not eligible for this offer, given this information I would have ensured that I re- qualified by another route
As I was under the impression that my flight would re-qualify me I asked if they could waive the 10 Cc required on this occasion as I'm flying out to the US(on VA reward seat) on the 2nd June and would not be in a position to gain the 10 SC’s required. The rep told me that she would discuss the issue with her supervisor whom may make a decision based on my spend! ( so plats are now ranked on their spend, nice touch)
I received a call back an hour later and was informed that the 10 CC would not be waived. Great, well thank you VA not only do you serve me up an dried out cruddie old Mrs Mac sausage roll in J last week but you have also shown a lack of understanding and fairness.
This flight was booked in good faith, I did not purposely try to circumvent any conditions. However you have graded me and obviously I do not spend enough earn any kind of flexibility on your side. Sorry VA you are slowly becoming the same monster as the established Godzilla. I will be writing to the JB over the next few days
Sorry to bore you all I just needed to let off steam
