Of course it is the sun. But do you notice that the circle around the aircraft is a rainbow, meaning the light has been split into the various wavelengths.
 
ohhh... I thought the title was referring to a halo around the [platinum] shadow (and hence the platinums in the front section).

that was kinda amusing :)
 
Pfft and I bet there is one of those WP's who are rorting the system by buying cheap flights to get status on board......or one of those DSC MASA types. :p
