I've never noticed it, but I suspect this is why:
"Guests using a promo code are not offered the option of placing their booking on hold."

I'd rather give up this functionality and keep my 10% off :)

Me too!

Amazing they would put this live before it's ready - check the typos : How to Put a Booking on Hold | Virgin Australia

Thats what staging sites are for Virgin Australia!

I don't see any obvious ones, not reading it on an iPhone by any chance are you?

And I hadn't seen this either, seems to be a popular feature as several other airlines already offer it.

Appears the Apple browser device/browser issue has struck again!

Djchuckles, there's a whol thread on this! I can't link it now though, as I'm posting from my iPhone!

Yes you can?

Go to the thread you want to link to, tap the ... Icon, tap share, tap copy, then come back here and paste it.

Noticed it afew days ago booking BNE-SYD Rtn.; Useful for those who may need it, I know NZ has this feature for awhile too

Good morning all, wishing you all a very Happy Easter.

I have just gone through the process of a booking, Melbourne to Sydney return next month and this option is not available for my fares.... I dd use the Saver Lite fare type though - don't know if that has something to do with it. As 95% of my travel is Melbourne to Sydney on the Saver Lite fares this is not very encouraging - OK.... I am got the fares for $158 return...
