Hi

I got the Flounge agent to swap my FF from QF to AA prior to boarding and the BP clearly showed my AA OWS status .

Lo and behold, my QFF account is now showing the points & SCs for that flight as a WP.

1) Can it be undone ?

2) Would AA then credit the flight or it will be in the too-hard basket ?

Would appreciate some pointers from those in the know or with similar experiences before I pick up the phone.

Didn't happen to my last similar request, so it caught me by surprise.

Thanks in advance

See what AA do. Scan the correct BP to AA and naturally report back to us!

You will need to have QFF reverse the flight credit first before AA can credit it.

Normally that would be the case. But given they have a BP with correct info. They may get lucky and double dip.

Will be back in SYD soon heading to my scanner

Worth finding out how the systems works.

Too messy unwinding otherwise IMO

I was tempted to let it go to the keeper actually.

Strange beast !

Never had this cross wire before ...... but now I remembered that at the DXB F lounge, the agent was clueless seeing the AA OWS BP (lounge ineligible) and the QF WP card (lounge eligible) so she went seeking help from her supervisor who then entered my QFF in their systems.

That must be the reason !!!

That must have overridden the settings done at SYD F lounge without changing my (AA FF) BP.

Should I do it again with the 'friendly' BA dragons with my QF2 ?

I think not, for some reasons.

The system EK uses to register guests in the lounge is not the same as the reservations system. Whether they also changed it in the reservations system as well or not is another issue.

An AA OWS BP is eligible for EK J lounge access at DXB providing it is a BP for QF1/2/9/10. However, there is evidence here on AFF that those trying to access the lounge on their QF status whilst crediting to another program have been forced to change the FF number on the booking.

So the answer may be to not enter any FF information into your booking, rely on your card for lounge entry and then make a manual claim for the flights afterwards with whichever FFP you desire to credit to.
