LAX Lounges

Saw a sign that in April the new lounge experience was going to start, or something to that effect, and thank you for your patience, first time that I have seen the sign there, wasn't there in late Feb. The sign was located near the elevators. Can anyone fill me in on when the new lounges at LAX TBIT will open.

AFAIK it is April (as you mentioned) for the main TBIT J lounge and "later in 2014" for the F lounge. I have QF12 in F at the start of Oct so hopefully it will be done by then.

The sign was definitely there in late Jan when I last went through there.

The new J lounge is apparently finished already.

The question now would be whether to visit the new J lounge or go the old F lounge...

Suspect you won't have a choice. On the opening of the new space (which includes the old Star lounge) I suspect the current J/F lounges will close for renovation into a much larger F lounge

I will be flying out of LAX on 18/4 (I think), so (of course) it would be great if it was open by then, but I know my luck and it will be later April

Now with a daily flight from BNE-PQQ I can now fly QF16 from T4 and enjoy the Flagship Lounge and priority screening. The bad news I suspect is that QF16 will change to TBIT, is this a possibility and when?

Bugger! I guess that the shared J/F Lounge may be the only choice for the next few months, lets hope that they do a great job with the new OW F Lounge at the TBIT

It has to be better in terms of layout, size, WiFi, showers than the current F

Just put up with some cheaper champagne/wine and you should be fine!
